Imagination and enchantment in Germany's biggest theme park

Seating area in a special style.
The Krønasår Hotel is a place of adventure, mystery and delight. Situated within Europa-Park in southwestern Germany, the themed accommodation combines elements of Nordic mythology with a décor in the style of a natural history museum. The result is both charming and immersive. Upon arrival, guests are greeted in the main atrium by a giant skeleton of a fictional sea serpent. The hotel's 276 rooms contain mythical maps, colorways of faux antique books, and light fixtures braided with maritime rope. They also feature AXOR Montreux in the bathrooms, making the Krønasår Hotel the perfect place to relax and refresh after an eventful day in Germany's largest amusement park (as ranked by the international Themed Entertainment Association).

A collection inspired by the Belle Époque, AXOR Montreux serves as an elegant complement to the Krønasår Hotel’s historical elements. At the wash basin, the faucets, which are finished in chrome and come in both cross-handle and lever-handle variants, feature classic porcelain inlays with authentic lettering. For the showers, Krønasår enlisted the help of AXOR Signature, which provides a full range of customization and personalization services, to modify the traditional AXOR Montreux Showerpipe. The customized result is now perfectly adapted to the hotel’s bathroom dimensions and requirements.

Opened in 1975 by the Mack family, who have produced wagons and other vehicles since the late 1700s (including roller coasters since the 1920s), Europa-Park is an impressive success story. From 250,000 visitors in its first year, the park has grown to host more than 5.5 million people annually. Those who have experienced it for themselves will not be surprised to learn that Europa-Park has been named the world’s best amusement park every year since 2014 by the prestigious Golden Ticket Awards. The 950,000m2 complex boasts over 100 attractions and shows, 13 different roller coasters, and six distinctly-themed hotels, of which the Krønasår Hotel is the latest and perhaps the most ambitious yet.
